European tendering and contract management rolling stock

NS (The Dutch Railway) is responsible for transporting over 1 million passengers daily. To achieve this, NS requires reliable rolling stock.

Within many rolling stock acquisition projects, Adrie Pouwer played a leading role in the areas of RAMS (Reliability Availability Maintainability Safety) and LCC (Life Cycle Costing). This included:

• Development of functional specifications based on EN 50126 for European Tendering;
• Assessment of offers;
• Negotiations with suppliers;
• Design and implementation of verification programs during the design and construction phase;
• Design and implementation of the verification and validation programs during the operational phase.
