IAM Asset Management Conference 2013

From August 24 to August 26 2013, the Institute of Asset Management held a conference on the area of asset management. This congress took place at the University of Exeter, UK.

There were presentations on a large number of aspects of asset management, such as:

  • Organizational changes and culture;
  • Management of an insecure future (under which climate changes);
  • The importance of information management and its place within the organization;
  • Etc.

Cases and best practices were used to support the presentations.

There was also attention for the developments on the area of asset management. What is our progress in the development of asset management and what extent of maturity is needed for what organization? The development of the new ISO 55000 standard is ahead of the planning, expected to be published in October / November 2013.

For the first time in history, it was possible to take the newly developed IAM exam on the area of asset management at the last day of the conference. Only 5 candidates took part.
